Brooke is an emerging artist who has recently completed a four year dance training program at the School of Contemporary Dancers in affiliation with the University of Winnipeg. As she emerges into professional dance, she has had time to think about some directions to take her career. She has been working towards combining both her passion for dance and her passion for child care. Since 2019 she has taught general school dance classes. She has taught styles including creative movement, contemporary, intro ballet, intro jazz, jazz, musical theatre and ballet. Teaching this year during the pandemic has brought her to a further realization of the importance of play and creativity for children of all ages. She has been working on her own dance curriculum which combines traditional dance class elements and play. Her method of teaching dance is through game based learning and creative freedom, allowing the children to have input and a voice in how they discover dance.
" We were very fortunate to have dance classes with Brooke during the summer of 2021. While teaching the children dancing moves, she brought her enthusiasm, passion and energy. The program exposed our children to the opportunity that they might not have been able to experience. Highly recommend!"
